Examination and Promotions


  1. There will be two examinations (class II to X) and three examinations (class A to I) during the year and the progress report keeps the parents informed of the progress of their children. The reports are to be signed by the parents and returned to the school. There will be no re-examination on any consideration.
  2. Pupils absent from examinations for any reason other than sickness certified by a doctor will be considered as having failed.
  3. There will be Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation of a pupil’s work throughout the year. Promotion will depend on the year’s work, and the final decision depends entirely on the Principal’s discretion.
  4. A pupil who fails twice in the same class has to take Transfer Certificate and be asked to leave the school.
  5. The result declared at the end of the year is final and will not be reconsidered. Neither will the answer papers be shown.
  6. English, Science, Mathematics, Social Science and Hindi are compulsory subjects. If a pupil fails in any of these subjects, he or she may not be promoted.
  7. Any one resorting to unfair means in the examination will be barred from further examination. He/She will be declared to have failed and may even be expelled from the school.
  8. To secure promotion one must obtain pass mark in all the subjects. Any of the classes VIII and IX students getting less than 20 marks in three or more subjects in the final examination will be asked to leave the school.
  9. The school does not issue pass T.C. to the failed students under any circumstances. Parents are requested not to approach the school authority for the same. Any student who is unable to pass the selection examination criteria will be detained. No complaint regarding the selection will be entertained if the student has failed in any subject.
